If you own a table saw, you've likely encountered situations where you need to make smaller cuts, cross-cuts, or repetitive length cuts. This is where table saw crosscut sleds excel. Cross-cutting small pieces can be challenging and sometimes a bit dangerous, as a standard miter gauge can let the cut-off piece loose, causing it to fly off the table or into the saw blade opening.
Our Crosscut Sled with Stop Block and Adjustable Rails offers a solution to this problem. This sled makes cutting off small pieces a breeze, while also allowing you to crosscut panels up to 13-1/2 inches wide. This makes it the perfect mid-length cross-cut solution for a variety of projects where you need a straight-line crosscut that a miter saw simply can't make.
The sled platform runs on two aluminum tracks that can be adjusted side to side to fit most any table saw. The aluminum tracks are designed to fit into standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter slots, but they won't fit Ryobi table saw slots or a few other outlier table saws. We recommend measuring your slots before ordering.
The stop block is made from a composite material, so if it accidentally comes into contact with the saw blade, it won't damage the blade. The stop can be used on either side of the sled and is ideal for duplicating the same length of cut over and over again as needed. The sled measures approximately 18" long by 16" wide (measuring the base).
Before making your purchase, ensure that your table saw falls into the necessary parameters. While you can crosscut small pieces with this sled, it also excels at crosscutting larger panels, making it a versatile and valuable addition to your woodworking toolkit.
